It's not too crazy and overblown,it isn't trying to be too epic or too long,it instead tries to be simple and fun,and it succeeds! Straight forward and understandable but still cool and dark Indiana Jones-e plot Ok now that we've gotten the complaints out of the way,let me explain why it's my favorite Pirates film
BEST PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN MOVIE
Ok you are all just nitpicking now, Barbossa looks awesome, not only that, his role in this movie in the story was great and unique,he is out for revenge! Yeah,he is different from the villains of the first 3,but I actually think he is a really cool villain, with selfish goals,he knows he is evil and doesn't care, with cool powers as well. "The movie is too dark!" I get that, the lighting was a bit different that the other movies, but I think that actually fits with the darker feel of the story. That's.the point of the movie, the movie was meant to be a soft reboot and start a new Pirates of the Caribbean chapter, then 5 somewhat destroyed that unfortunately. Will and Elizabeth don't fit in that plot at all, putting them in would have felt forced and out of place, and Phillip and Syrena were good enough replacements. This movie is meant to be a completely different story than the original trilogy, it's about Jack Sparrow finding the fountain, and him meeting his old love interest Angelica, and Jack helping blackbeard without his will. I am glad those two aren't in this movie. Ok on to the defense part, let me go over the complaints: In this post I will defend the hated "Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger tides",on top of that,I will explain why it's my favorite Pirates of the Caribbean film
